Dwayne Parris – Branch Manager, Woodbine, MD

Dwayne joined Chapel Valley in 1986, bringing more than 35 years of industry experience.   Dwayne oversees the Landscape Maintenance for our Maryland properties and is responsible for team operations including safety, customer satisfaction, and customer retention.

Dwayne began his career with Chapel Valley upon graduation and has since been involved with all aspects of the company. Dwayne has held a variety of positions from supervisory to account management and now branch management for our teams working on high-end residential and commercial properties. 

Dwayne is a Certified Landscape Technician, Certified Professional Horticulturist and holds a certification for Snow and Ice Management with the Accredited Snow Contractors Association.

Dwayne resides in Eldersburg, Maryland with his wife and has two sons, one which served in the United States Navy for 5 years and one that is a recent graduate of Florida State University. Dwayne spent 15 years coaching youth baseball and serving on the Sykesville baseball board of directors. In his spare time Dwayne enjoys camping, traveling and riding ATV’s. 

Elser Herrera – Branch Manager, Baltimore, MD

Elser Joined Chapel Valley during the fall of 2019 at our Woodbine location.  He comes from within the landscape industry with 15 years of experience.  During this timeframe we worked in various roles from the crew member position all the way to account manager which allowed him the opportunity to learn the operations and sales aspects of the industry.  Elser is very passionate about training and helping people achieve their goals.  During he’s career he has spent time training and coaching teams from across the Mid-Atlantic region in production (quality and efficiency), hiring and recruiting, and has led the safety initiative at a branch level.  Elser’s dedication allows him the opportunity to keep his customers happy by meeting and exceeding their expectations.  During his personal time, he likes spending time with his wife and 2 children. 

Scott Williams - Branch Manager, Dulles, VA

Scott joined Chapel Valley in 1994 after graduating from Delaware Valley University where he majored in Landscape Contracting with a Business Minor.  

Scott started at Chapel Valley working in the Commercial Installation division where he focused on large install projects such as FedEx Field (Landover, MD), Four Seasons Hotel (Washington, DC), Parc Somerset (Bethesda, MD).  After working with the Commercial Installation division for 6 years Scott transferred to the DC Landscape Maintenance branch located in Alexandria, VA and oversaw a large award-winning portfolio of commercial properties including Crystal City.  He also was the DC Landscape Maintenance branch manager, Regional Account Manager for the Lerner portfolio, until most recently being selected to branch manager for the Northern VA Landscape Maintenance branch.  

Scott is a Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) and Certified Professional Horticulturist (CPH); has also worked with estimating, sales & snow and ice management.  Originally from Pennsylvania, Scott moved to Maryland in 1994 and currently resides in Sykesville with his wife and 3 children.

Jill Hartkopf – Branch Manager, Alexandria, VA

Jill oversees the operations of our Alexandria branch. She joined Chapel Valley in 2016 with 20 years of experience in all aspects of the landscape industry. Jill started at Chapel Valley working as an Account Manager, managing our Arlington/Alexandria portfolio.  In April of 2017 Jill was promoted to Branch Manager of the Alexandria branch and oversees a portfolio of work spanning from Woodbridge through Washington DC. Jill has a wide range of experience in the landscape industry, starting as a landscape designer in 1999.  She has overseen many successful landscape projects, but her focus is now on commercial landscape maintenance.  Jill is from Reston, VA and resides in Alexandria with her 2 kids and 2 dogs.

Josh Richman – Branch Manager, Richmond, VA

Josh has been with Chapel Valley since 2002, ensuring 25 years of horticulture, turf grass, and irrigation industry experience.  Josh is the Branch Manager for the Richmond branch, focusing on client interaction, employee development, operational planning, budgeting, and new business development.  Josh has been a part of growing and developing the Richmond team since 2005.  Prior to that, he worked at Chapel Valley’s Northern Virginia regional office in irrigation installation estimating, design, and service.  

Josh graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture.  He holds a Virginia Certified Fertilizer license, Virginia Pesticide license, OSHA-10 certified, and Accredited Snow Contractors Association Level 300 Certified.  Josh has also held the Virginia Certified Horticulturist designation.   Originally from the Shenandoah Valley, Josh moved to Richmond in 2005, and resides here with his wife and 3 children.  He is active in his community, being a part of charitable organizations and enjoys spending time with his family and being involved in their many activities.

Vince Ward – Branch Manager, Norfolk, VA

Vince joined Chapel Valley in May of 2017 in the role of Account Manager and moved into the Branch Manager role in our Norfolk, VA office in February of 2018.  

Vince graduated Christopher Newport University in 1995 majoring in Biology with a Horticulture Minor where he received training in design, horticulture, and landscape construction.  Vince has 32 years of experience in landscaping in which he has developed a devotion to quality and customer service.

Vince has been a Certified Virginia Horticulturist (VNLA), Certified Pesticide Applicator and a Certified Concrete Paver Installer (CCPI).   

Originally from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Vince moved to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia in 1972 and currently resides in Newport News with his wife and 2 daughters.

Dave Lofstrom – Branch Manager, Atlanta, GA

Dave joined the Chapel Valley team in June 2021 to continue leading the six-year development and growth of the Chapel Valley Landscape venture in Atlanta GA. He has 25+ years of landscape maintenance, installation management and sales experience in commercial office, high-end residential and design/build projects. Dave thoroughly enjoys the fast pace and challenges of delivering landscape services, building long-term professional relationships, and developing solutions of mutual benefit. An enthusiastic driver of team building and development of personnel, Dave’s greatest satisfaction comes with identifying individual strengths, creating opportunities, and generating focused growth from within. He lives with his wife, two sons and dog in Woodstock GA.
